Autoclave Engineers’ CT1000 is a high quality instrument designed to operate in a laboratory type environment. It is a compact unit that is powerful enough to control large reactors (DC motors up to 1/2HP and heaters up to 30A).
This Control Tower can be configured in a number a ways to indicate and control motor speed, temperature (heating and cooling), and pressure.

FEATURES
120/240vac, 50/60Hz supply power capability with a 10 foot power cord.
PID control of electric heaters up to 15A using internal circuitry. An optional 30A remote power box is also available.
Speed control is for a shunt wound or permanent magnet DC motors from 1/8HP up to 1/2HP.
The Temperature Control includes an adjustable setpoint ramping function as well as a high temperature alarm.
An optional Over-temperature Control function will shutdown the vessel’s electric heater if the skin temperature exceeds the alarm setpoint. It will automatically reset when the temperature cools below the setpoint.
The cooling control option utilizes a PID controlled 2 Amp Relay to control a solenoid valve plumbed to the vessel’s cooling coil.
The pressure Control option provides for monitoring and control of vessel pressure. Inlet or outlet pressure control is available using on/off valves or electronically actuated metering valves.
BENEFITS
The CT1000 is capable of handling all sizes of AED Reactors from the Mini-Reactor to 4 Liter vessels. The pressure can be displayed in 5 different ranges and in units of Psi, bar, Mpa, Kpa or Kg/cm2. Temperature can be displayed in ºC or ºF.
An external shutdown contact is provided to allow an external device (H2 or flare sensor, for example) to disable the CT-1000.
The CT-1000 can be used for intrinsically safe operation when connected to an Autoclave Engineers isolator package.
Heating, cooling, mixer speed and pressure control PID loops all have a push button, Autotune feature that will configure each control loop for optimum process control.
