The Berty reactor
circulates gas past a stationary catalyst bed (contained within the
high pressure reactor) using a 2,500 rpm vane blower, of either 3" (75 mm) or 5" (125 mm) OD. The multiphase reactor design
is used for time based, laboratory, high temperature & high pressure heterogeneous
catalysis experiments with gas / solid phase reactants. Use internal recycle
reactors & vary reaction time for catalyst activation, catalyst regeneration,
& catalyst endurance (catalyst life) studies

Berty Stationary Basket Catalyst Reactor: Catalyst Testing Reactors
The most widely used recycling gas/ vapor phase catalyst research tool
FEATURES
Three different
gas recycling catalyst reactor models with pressure ratings between
2,450 to 5,800 psi (169 to 400 bar)
Two temperature
ratings 650°F & 1,200°F (343°C & 649°C) for diverse
chemistry experiments with supported catalysts
316SS is standard;
other chemical / petrochemical resistant alloys are offered, (e.g. HASTELLOY® C-276)
The design conforms
to the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1: An
ASME code stamp is optional
The vane blower
is spun by a 2,500 rpm MagneDrive® magnetic
drive that eliminates dynamic seals for worry free recycling
Retain the solid
catalyst in a stationary, woven wire mesh basket to allow gas / vapor
circulation with low pressure drop
Optional process
control instrumentation measures & controls temperature, blower speed
& pressure
Obtain expert,
catalytic equipment advice from the manufacturer & ongoing support from
the local, factory approved supplier
High pressure reactor
equipment is delivered custom configured & after full functional testing
for fast & easy start-up
Reactor repair
parts are offered indefinitely to achieve the unlimited service life
of the seamless design
BENEFITS
The Berty high pressure, corrosion
resistant gradientless reactor is basic equipment for advancing the science
of gas phase solid phase heterogeneous catalyst technology. This high
pressure laboratory apparatus can be used for diverse supported, & selective
catalyst research including catalyst screening, catalyst characterization,
& surface chemistry studies. The leak-free metal gasket design provides
bench-scale catalytic synthesis capability for scientific experimentation.
