Mini-BC HTHP – Mini Bolted-Closure Reactor for High Temperature and High Pressure Reaction Experiments.

Autoclave Engineers has developed a new high-pressure high-temperature Mini-Bolted Closure (Mini-BC) Reactor specifically designed for the Fischer-Tropsch (FT) and other processes requiring temperatures up to 454°C and pressures to 227 bar.

Construction is based on the well-known Bolted Closure pressure vessel now available in volumes of 50 ml and 100 ml, manufactured of ANSI 316 stainless steel or Hastelloy C-276. It has an integrated MagneDrive III packless magnetic agitator, capable of speeds up to 3,000 RPM and torque of 565 Nmm.

The Mini-BC reactor is fully configured as larger reactors and can integrate and control Mass Flow Controllers, HPLC pumps, and other associated research equipment. The Mini-BC also  employs Autoclave Engineers high pressure metal-to-metal port connections, including all the accessories like a filtered sample tube, a Dispersimax spinning catalyst basket impeller or the gas-gas Fischer-Tropsch impeller basket(optional).
